Is A Stay At Home Moms Business Opportunity Right For You?

by Stephen Meyer

When looking at home based business opportunities the idea can appear risky. It is normal to think that when you are making a decision to change your lifestyle 100%. You have the fear of success and failure and of the ability to maintain your current way of living.

While all that is important many Mom’s are looking for a stay at home Moms business opportunity so they can have more time with their families and to gain financial security.

Looking at a pros and part of the decision may help you decide. They can either scare you away or make you firm in your desire for a home based business.

What a Home Business Can Do For You

Works at home mothers see their children everyday. They can be there for them when they go off to school and they are there when they come home. If the children are not of school age they are there for their needs during the day.

Your spouse will also have a lot to gain. You will have the ability to take care of the little things that always seem to get pushed to the side. Plus, if you have children at home the husband can have satisfaction knowing they are being raised correctly. Having the time for your family is a very important aspect of a working from home. Your spouse or significant other will have the pleasure of knowing his spouse can as the needed time to take care of household items. Time at home will also give you the ability to keep a strong and secure relationship. Family time is one of the biggest positives a work from home job opportunity can give you.

The ability to contribute more income to your family’s financial future is also important. A job may provide a steady income but often that income is not enough to gain financial freedom. A work at home job can have the potential to provide far more than what the average mom makes working full time out of the home.

I should state that many moms are making more money than the spouse and there are those whose income is in the upper income brackets.

Time freedom and financial freedom are two of the biggest reasons most people use to start working from home. Both can be provided by a home based business.

The Downsides of a Stay at Home Moms Business Opportunity

Can you actually make enough money working from home to support the lifestyle you now have? The easy answer is, of course you can. But it is much easier said than done. A stay at home Moms business opportunity can produce a significant income but it will not be easy.

With a home based business you are usually paid on a percentage basis. It will take time to build your customer base large enough to have a steady flow of commissions. Working athomeon the internet is much different than your regular 9-5 job.

Having the time to actually work from home can be much harder than it appears. Most moms are very busy taking care of household chores, children and their spouses. A work from home business will require a lot of your time, often more hours than a regular job.

A work from home job is a business and like all businesses there are things that must be done if you want to succeed. Everything in your home and business will be seeking your attention. You must have good organizational skills if you hope to succeed. Success will seem very far away if you do not have the ability to organize your time. Working at home will at times seem like everyone and everything wants your time. The same as any business a work from home job will have things that must be done. The key to success is good organizational skills.

Working from home is not an easy task. In order to see any kind of success your time must be organized. Unlike a regular job with set hours you can easily find yourself working harder and longer than you have before. In order to see success you must manage the time you spend working and the time you spend with your family. If you are unable to manage your time and lack organizational skills a work at home job will not work for you.

You can make a significant income working from home. Many make more than they thought was possible. But you have to remember, it is not easy. A successful home based business will require work and a lot of effort. If you can give it both you can be successful.

An aware person is less likely to become a victim of crime

by Francisco Jose Carrasco

When thinking about self defense most people take for granted that it must be self defense techniques or sprays, batons, tasers and so on but the true professionals know very well that something else has to be learned in order to practice real effective self defense. The most effective self defense has several steps and the first and most important one is awareness.

Awareness is a very important if not the most important part of complete self defense. An unaware person is more likely to be victim of a crime than an aware citizen. Awareness starts with recognition. You must recognize that you and everyone else on this planet are 24 hours a day a possible target for crime in one form or another. Crime does not only presents itself in the form of robbery or armed assault or rape. Crime has as many faces as there are people and only if you recognized for yourself that you are a possible victim you can take the first step to defending yourself in an effective way.

After recognizing the possibility that you or your beloved ones can become victims of crime you can start thinking about changing the parameters that condition the attacks according to your personal situation. The first one we take a look at is the place where we are. A dark alley gives the ideal place for an attack but attacks also can happen when you are taking a ride with the bus, pick pocket thieves are always looking out for an easy victim.

In order to save our lives when confronted with a sudden attack or assault we must be able to defend ourselves with the use of self defense techniques and tools but the best defense is to avoid these type of situations and if we take some time to become aware of the problem by analyzing our personal conduct and situation surely we can avoid many attacks without having to use self defense techniques. The first step of this process is awareness, followed by avoidance. This is the most effective self defense system. Don’t fool yourself thinking that you are save and nothing will happen to you. Be prepared, be aware and avoid every place and situation that can turn into an assault on you or your beloved ones

Wealth and Passion

by Healthy Wealthy nWise

Roger Hamilton was a millionaire by the time he was 30 years old. How? He’s one of the leading wealth experts in Asia and authored the international bestseller, “Wink and Grow Rich”. He also created the Wealth Dynamics Profiling System.

Additionally, Roger is a co-founder and the chairman for XL Results Foundation, the largest entrepreneur network in Asia Pacific. “XL Magazine” is the first magazine of its kind. It is published by XL Results Foundation and is dedicated to social enterprise.

Roger hasn’t always been rich. He’s both made and lost millions. The difference between Roger Hamilton and most other entrepreneurs is that he believes there are lessons to be learned from mistakes. He doesn’t give up. He specializes in building new Asian businesses as a serial entrepreneur, and he even chose the Asian Crisis of 1997 as a time to launch his very first one.

You might be surprised to learn that wealth isn’t the most important thing in Roger’s life. Passion is what drives him. Passion is that fire deep within that makes you eager to jump out of bed in the morning and start your day. Creating wealth is so much easier (and more fun) when you’re doing what you love rather than earning your keep.

Roger has a unique way of looking at the relationship between wealth and passion. Wealth isn’t defined by how much money you have. It’s defined by what’s left after you lose all of your money. If your passion is money, you’re left with nothing. If your passion is something else, you’re left with something that will allow you to build wealth again.

Life is made up of one choice after another. Roger Hamilton learned that lesson well while attending Cambridge University. He went to school to study architecture, but he had a passion for rowing. He enjoyed practicing with the team. In addition, he had friends who encouraged him to get a job to pay for a fun trip to Greece with them.

Sometimes to solve the riddle of several decisions at once, you need to turn them into a single question and answer. It’s what Roger Hamilton does. We combine tasks at home or work. We even listen to educational audios while driving in the car. Why not combine all of the important aspects of our lives?

Roger’s dilemma was filling his architectural portfolio, making money, and keeping up with rowing team practices at the same time. He decided to start making drawings of famous buildings. Those drawings filled his portfolio, copies of them were sold for money, and that left him plenty of free time for the rowing team. It was a winning combination!

Quickly Attract Wealth With The Law Of Attraction!

by Dick Ingersoll

A lot of people were inspired to discover the Law of Attraction from the movie The Secret or by watching the teachers from The Secret on Oprah. Attracting wealth is perhaps the primary desire, and yet it’s one of the toughest to do. Nevertheless, the basic problems in attracting money are easy to short-circuit. Once these problems are sidestepped, attracting money is a piece of cake!

The most common problem with attracting wealth is that people desperately require the money so they select money as their first manifestation goal. However, due to the need for money and the perpetual negative thinking surrounding money (“how will I ever pay that bill?”, “oh no, my power is going to be shut off”, “I’ll never pay back this student loan”), any attraction regarding money is in all likelihood set-back by every day negative thoughts and feelings. This causes a negative attraction which can postpone or even entirely wipe out your efforts to attract money.

Manifestation and attraction works when you take a positive, light-hearted and playful approach. Patience and detachment are the keys to successful manifesting. Since money is such a charged subject, it is difficult for people to detach themselves from their attraction attempts long enough for the money to manifest. Meanwhile they continue thinking their daily thoughts (“I can’t afford these gas prices!”, “I wish I could afford a vacation”, “I’m not paid enough”) and these thoughts bring about negative feelings towards money that push their desires away.

The way to break through this is to start smaller, and concentrate on things other than wealth. Start out by trying to manifest something simple, like a red rose. Beware, depending on what you envision, you may get a actual rose or you may wind up with a box of tissue that sports a big red rose on the side. Be as specific as you can in your imaginings, and always place yourself in the picture. See yourself holding a rose, or whatever little desire you’re trying to manifest.

Once you manifest your first little thing, repeat this process two or three times. Each time, what you will find is that your desires are manifesting, and that will add faith to your process. When you turn back to manifesting money, begin by picking a smaller amount that you can believe in. Five hundred dollars, a thousand dollars, anything so long as you can seriously believe that you can attain that money. Keep a detached and playful mindset – this will bring your manifestation into your life more quickly. As you succeed more and more, your faith will build, and your manifestations will happen faster. Also you will develop a true realization that you are able to manifest your desires, and then you can begin working on attracting larger amounts of money while knowing all along that you will succeed. As faith develops and begins developing into absolute knowns for you, your entire life will lighten up and you will feel the magic that is in the universe around you.

Best of luck and may you manifest your every desire!

The Key to a Better Life

by Kim and Charles petty

Time management is basically about being focused. The Pareto Principle also known as the ‘80:20 Rule’ states that 80% of efforts that are not time managed or unfocused generates only 20% of the desired output. However, 80% of the desired output can be generated using only 20% of a well time managed effort. Although the ratio ‘80:20’ is only arbitrary, it is used to put emphasis on how much is lost or how much can be gained with time management.

Some people view time management as a list of rules that involves scheduling of appointments, goal settings, thorough planning, creating things to do lists and prioritizing. These are the core basics of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill. These basic skills can be fine tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire.

But there is more skills involved in time management than the core basics. Skills such as decision making, inherent abilities such as emotional intelligence and critical thinking are also essential to your personal growth.

Personal time management involves everything you do. No matter how big and no matter how small, everything counts. Each new knowledge you acquire, each new advice you consider, each new skill you develop should be taken into consideration.

Having a balanced life-style should be the key result in having personal time management. This is the main aspect that many practitioners of personal time management fail to grasp.

Time management is about getting results, not about being busy.

The six areas that personal time management seeks to improve in anyone’s life are physical, intellectual, social, career, emotional and spiritual.

The physical aspect involves having a healthy body, less stress and fatigue.

The intellectual aspect involves learning and other mental growth activities.

The social aspect involves developing personal or intimate relations and being an active contributor to society.

The career aspect involves school and work.

The emotional aspect involves appropriate feelings and desires and manifesting them.

The spiritual aspect involves a personal quest for meaning.

Thoroughly planning and having a set of things to do list for each of the key areas may not be very practical, but determining which area in your life is not being giving enough attention is part of time management. Each area creates the whole you, if you are ignoring one area then you are ignoring an important part of yourself.

Personal time management should not be so daunting a task. It is a very sensible and reasonable approach in solving problems big or small.

A great way of learning time management and improving your personal life is to follow several basic activities.

One of them is to review your goals whether it be immediate or long-term goals often.

A way to do this is to keep a list that is always accessible to you.

Always determine which task is necessary or not necessary in achieving your goals and which activities are helping you maintain a balanced life style. Each and everyone of us has a peek time and a time when we slow down, these are our natural cycles. We should be able to tell when to do the difficult tasks when we are the sharpest.

Learning to say “No”. You actually see this advice often. Heed it even if it involves saying the word to family or friends.

Pat yourself at the back or just reward yourself in any manner for an effective time management result.

Try and get the cooperation from people around you who are actually benefiting from your efforts of time management.

Don’t procrastinate. Attend to necessary things immediately.

Have a positive attitude and set yourself up for success. But be realistic in your approach in achieving your goals.

Have a record or journal of all your activities. This will help you get things in their proper perspective.

These are the few steps you initially take in becoming a well rounded individual.

As the say personal time management is the art and science of building a better life.

From the moment you integrate into your life time management skills, you have opened several options that can provide a broad spectrum of solutions to your personal growth. It also creates more doors for opportunities to knock on.

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within

by Kim and Charles Petty

Life isn’t the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere – “How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?” Then I pause and observed for awhile I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called ‘self’.

So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.

My theology professor once said that “loving means accepting.” To love oneself means to accept that you are not a perfect being, but behind the imperfections must lie a great ounce of courage to be able to discover ways on how to improve your repertoire to recover from our mistakes.

Genuine happiness also pertains to contentment. When you are contented with the job you have, the way you look, with your family, your friends, the place you live in, your car, and all the things you now have – truly, you know the answer to the question “how to be genuinely happy.”

When we discover a small start somewhere from within, that small start will eventually lead to something else, and to something else. But if you keep questioning life lit it has never done you any good, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.

I believe that life is about finding out about right and wrong, trying and failing, wining and losing. These are things that happen as often as you inhale and exhale. Failure, in a person’s life has become as abundant and necessary as air. But this should not hinder us from becoming happy.

How to be genuinely happy in spite all these? I tell you every time you exert effort to improve the quality of life and your being, whether it is cleaning up your room, helping a friend, taking care of your sick dog, fail on board exams and trying again, life gives you equivalent points for that.

Imagine life as a big score board like those which are used in the NFLs. Every time you take a step forward, you make scoring points. Wouldn’t it be nice to look at that board at the end of each game and think to yourself “Whew! I got a point today. I’m glad I gave it a shot.”, instead of looking at it all blank and murmur “Geez, I didn’t even hit a score today. I wish I had the guts to try out. We could have won!” and then walk away.

Genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest Formula 1 car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest 13th month pay, or beating the sales quota. Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesn’t always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or not even the best. So, how do you become genuinely happy? Every one has his own definition of ‘happiness’. Happiness for a writer may mean launching as much best selling books as possible. Happiness for a basketball rookie may mean getting the rookie of the year award. Happiness for a beggar may mean a lot of money. Happiness for a business man may mean success. So, really now, how do we become genuinely happy? Simple. You don’t have to have the best things in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing. When you find yourself smiling at your own mistake and telling your self “Oh, I’ll do better next time”, you carry with you a flame of strong will power to persevere that may spread out like a brush fire. You possess a willingness to stand up again and try – that will make you a genuinely happy person.

When you learn to accept yourself and your own faults. You pass step 1 in the project “how to become genuinely happy”.For as long as you know how to accept others, you will also be accepted. For as long as you love and know how to love, you will receive love ten folds back.

Again, throw me that same question “how to become genuinely happy?”. I’ll refer you to a friend of mine who strongly quoted- “Most of us know that laughter is the best medicine to life’s aches and pain. But most of us don’t know that the best kind of laughter is laughter over self. Coz then you don’t just become happy you become free.”

by Kaylie L Holbrook

People use Daily affirmations to focus on the Universe and the Divine Presence that we are tied to. We can begin to experience the life that we desire by focusing our intentions on positive affirmations every day.

Set aside fifteen minutes a day to focus on your affirmation statements, it is best to do it in the morning so that you can start the day out right. As you read the affirmations, allow your thoughts to become lighter and engage a higher presence to hear you, keep your mind free of clutter and other thoughts that might hinder your daily affirmations.

Positive affirmations can sound like a waste of time to some people, but the individuals that practice affirmations on a daily basis feel more uplifted and calmer with more purpose for their day.

The people that use daily affirmations in their lives do so because these affirmations make a difference in their outlook on life, their health and stress. When we affirm to our own well being, we are consciously engaging a very powerful force that is a part of us to help keep us well balanced.

It is no secret that many people fighting life threatening illnesses are encouraged by many in the medical profession to use daily affirmations to help our bodies get better. Stress is one of the major factors that can lead to addiction and alcoholism. Positive daily affirmations play a large role in relieving the stress that can build up.

Within the area of quantum physics, many scientists have proven that the world we all live in is one of intent. We seem to create our own realities by what we think about. When we dwell on the negative things that happen in our lives, we seem to attracted more of the same. We begin to perceive our lives in negative ways because the Law of Attraction will support this view.

We can experience more happiness and abundance in our life as we use positive daily affirmations to engage the Law of Attraction and break the negative cycle. Like attracts like, it is the way things work. By using positive statements we can manifest more positive experiences in our lives.

Implementing affirmations is a form of meditation. Sit down in a quiet place and focus your intention on your daily affirmations, let them become a part of you. Focus as much intent on the statement as you can, and repeat the statements several times. Using daily affirmations every morning will start your day out right and lead you down the path of happiness you desire.

Why Define A Goal Timeline?

by Theo McLanahan

One of the best ways to plan for your future is to create a goal timeline. What is a goal timeline? It is a chronological mapping of your goals. It is best to start at the end (the goal) and then work back. Prepare smaller “mini goals” along the way.

Try to be as specific as possible when defining your goals. This will make it much easier to accomplish them. Instead of saying you want to be financially secure or that you want to make more money, be specific. Start by determining how much money you need to make every month.

If you need $3,000 per month to cover basic living expenses, you may want to create a goal slightly higher than that to cover yourself for any unexpected things that may happen. So, rather than saying you want to make more money, your specific goal could be “I want to earn $4,000 per month”.

The other great thing about giving your goals deadlines is that it will help measure your progress and success. You should give your goals timeline dates. Instead, try saying “I want to earn $4,000 a month by January 1st”. When that date comes close, look at whether you have to start working harder, or if you are on track. When your magical date happens, you should know whether or not you’ve reached your goal.

For a double whammy, create goals that will not only help you grow your business, but also help you grow as a person. Growing as a person is just as important as growing your business- it will also help you get farther in growing your business, if you have personal growth as well.

The benefit of reaching goals is that you are more empowered. You are ready to take on more challenges. You will keep creating new goals and get stronger. If you get in a rut, take out your timeline and see where you’ve come in 6 months or a year.

This can help you realize just how far you have come. We can be our own worst critics, and we often pick out the negative aspects of ourselves rather than the positive ones. Instead of giving yourself negative feedback, give yourself a compliment each day.

By complimenting yourself and telling yourself daily that you’re doing a great job, you will start to believe it and live up to it.

Think Positive for a Positive Life

by Theo McLanahan

Thinking positive may sound like gibberish to some but others are firm believers. Faced with problems or challenges, thinking positive can help you achieve the best.

Even when things don’t seem to be going right, a positive attitude can help you defeat your challenges. When you think positively, you can picture your accomplishments. Failing is not an alternative and you can manage any difficulties that come to you. Positive people attract other positive people and are more decisive in life.

When you find yourself facing a roadblock, try to find a way around it. It can be easy to give up. Giving up will not bring you any closer to accomplishing your goals. In fact, giving up can make you feel even worse and cause more stress.

Finding a way to forge ahead and reach your goal or accomplish your task will help you grow as a person. You will feel more confident and able to take on new, more difficult challenges.

You can’t change your way of thinking overnight. Big changes can come from taking small steps.

Start your morning with positive thoughts. You’re going to have a great day. Nice things are going to happen to you. Picture all the new clients you’ve attracted or a reporter who wants to do a magazine story featuring you.

Create a “dream board” or “dream book” to collect all the things you would like to accomplish or just add pictures that you like from a magazine. You can pin these to a bulletin board or just paste them to a scrapbook.

Don’t limit your ideas. If you have a picture of a house that you love, put it on your board. Is there a car you’ve always wanted or a place you’d love to travel?

Take a moment each day to look at your dream board or flip through your dream book. Think positive thoughts such as “one day, I will own that car” or “one day, I will take a vacation here”. This can inspire you and motivate you to work hard and achieve success. Your dream book is giving you a glimpse of your rewards. Now, it is up to you to take action.

Breaking the Procrastination Habit

by Elliott Roberts

Procrastination seems like a good idea at first because you get to avoid something that you do not want to do. Unfortunately it still has to be done so it just comes back to haunt you later. The real danger with procrastination comes when it becomes a habit and creates a constant mounting pile of work that needs your attention. The stress you experience will outweigh any relief you felt by putting off the task in the first place and your missed deadlines and slack performance will mark you unreliable. In order to achieve success at home and in life, you must learn to overcome procrastination. Following are some tips that may help.

Understand why you procrastinate. Self doubt and fear are the biggest reasons. You worry the results might not be good enough or your work may be rejected. Big deal. You get even less points for incompletion. Fear of imperfection is not noble; it is a cop out, so just get to work!

Change your attitude. “I hate this project.” “I have no idea where to begin”. There is no room for negativity in a success story. Stop saying those things or you will fail. Treat yourself to your favorite gourmet coffee drink as you sit down to start something you dread. Make it a habit to reward yourself for the start of something difficult so that you will start looking forward to the day, not dreading it.

Create a productive workspace. Whether it be where you type your documents or plan your grocery list, this is essential to blocking out distractions and being efficient.

Beware the time wasters. If you like to play Tai Pai, schedule it at your break time. Schedule time to read and manage your email and surf for research and news. If left unchecked, these things could eat hours of your day.

Massive jobs can cause anxiety and procrastination. Smaller jobs are easy to get ahold of and finish quickly which leaves us with a feeling of accomplishment. So break those bigger jobs down into a smaller series that are more easily manageable and can keep you excited as they are completed.

Get a buddy. So often we are on our own on projects, whether it is cleaning out the pantry or meeting a deadline for work. Find someone with similar goals to encourage one another and even help out when you are stuck. It helps you from getting into a rut and keeps you excited to move forward.

The temptation to procrastination will not disappear over night, but with the right attitude and tools to overcome it, you are on your way to increased production and success.
