Music therapy has its roots in ancient Greece, where it was used to help patients deal with mental illness. Today, patients take up music therapy with the goals of better daily management, for their stressful lives.

Benefits of music therapy are uncountable from healing a disease to peace of mind. It is not only used for reducing stress and helps in calmness to mind but also helps those that are suffering from chronic illness. It is known that music can bring back the lost confidence in patient’s life and help them improve self-esteem.

The mind becoming calm and thinking positively is a sign showing reduction in chronic disease of patients suffering from it through music therapy. Music therapy can cause soothing effect and tremendous healing for critical diseases so it is used along with traditional treatment method.

Listening to music that contains a positive and upbeat message is essential. Not only will this help to rewire the brain, it will show the individual how to be positive themselves. By exposing themselves to positive thoughts, it is likely to rub off on them.

With low levels of serotonin in your body, you are likely to become depressed. When you become depressed, you will become stressed. Too much stress can lead to other problems, so it would be best to indulge in musical therapy which can help to increase your serotonin levels.

Music therapy is beneficial from many points of view. It heals your mind, body, and soul. It helps you to relax and soothes your feelings. Not only that, but it doesn’t hurt.

Nothing comes under as much scrutiny in the world of self-improvement at the concept of positive thinking. The cynical say that just believing in something doesn’t necessarily make it true while the more optimistic admit that they don’t always turn the positive thinking into positive action.

The reason why positive doesn’t always work for people is because the positive thinking is only on the surface while deeper beliefs and thought are still negative. Even one deep seated negative thought is enough to interfere with the positive intentions that you set yourself.

Positive Thinking never achieved anything on it’s own anyway. Positive Action is what you need, and you can’t have that without Positive Thinking. But it’s at the point of Positive Action that Positive Thinking starts to fail.

Because when you need to take action your negative beliefs will come up. You’re forced to battle all those negative beliefs and emotions. Positive Thinking becomes effective when you’ve gotten rid of al those things that are holding you back.

If you can totally focus on your goal and your positive thoughts, it is possible to battle through all your negative beliefs. This is how most people live their lives. But it’s REALLY hard work! That’s because negative beliefs are really negative thoughts attached to negative feelings. So when you push through the belief, you take action that conflicts with the thought, and that brings up the feeling. Working through things like this because incredibly draining, and the negative feelings don’t tend to really change, so they are there next time you do the same thing.

As per usual, Emotional Freedom Technique makes it a lot easier. You take action, then observe any negative feelings that come up, tap them away until taking action feels more comfortable. The feelings and thoughts you had weren’t coming from the reality of your situation, just your interpretation filtered through those negative beliefs.

When you lose all those negative beliefs and thoughts that stop you from having the full benefits of Positive Thinklng you’ll be able to have a much stronger and deeper positive world view. Taking the right action will become more naturally and success will come much more easily.

Walking as Meditation

It is common knowledge that walking is great for you. It’s good for your heart, good for your waistline, and it is good for your circulation

But what you may not have thought about is this: combining your walking time with meditation to enhance the value of your walking. Most people take up walking because it’s an excellent form of exercise, it minimizes injuries and there is no learning curve; everyone knows how to walk.

No expensive equipment necessary (great for your pocketbook). You just start walking and you are instantly on the road to better health. If you combine this with meditation, or mindful walking, you will find your gains to be priceless.

So what is walking meditation, or mindful walking? It is when you deliberately focus on your every step. You don’t have to increase your speed, in fact, you might begin by walking slower so you can get the hang of mindful walking.

When you focus on your walking, focus on how it feels as you raise your foot then place it back down, one step at a time. The practice of mindful walking has its roots in Buddhism, in particular the art of Ayatana. Christianity also has its version of walking meditation: walking the labyrinth.

Utilizing mindful walking helps you focus on the present. As you become more skilled at concentrating your focus on your footsteps and not on the troubles of your day, you will find your stress melting away.

The most familiar forms of meditation have you sitting with eyes shut, concentrating on mental clarity. With mindful walking, your eyes are wide open, taking in the outside world. This gives the walker the opportunity to get outside of the head and all its chatter; a very valuable experience, especially for westerners.

Here are some general instructions for walking meditation:

  • It is best to conduct your walking meditation in an area that you are comfortable with.
  • Your goal is to walk for a 20 minute time period (or more if you wish). In the beginning, if that is too long for you, then you may want to begin with a 5 minute period and gradually work your way up to a 20 minute time period.
  • Start your walking in a relaxed but not a slouched posture.
  • Concentrate on how your feet feel.
  • Let your arms hang down in a relaxed manner.
  • Gently focus about three to six feet in front of you as you walk.

In conclusion, walking meditation is a practice that is easy to add into your daily exercise. Along with taking care of your body’s well-being, you will also be enhancing the well-being of your mind and spirit.

Just give it to someone else, get a robot or software to do your work instead. Leverage what you got. Take a rest once in a while too!

You should try to get a break after about 2 hours of activity. Let it be 10-20 minutes, where you can spend time with family, read your e-mail or read your favorite magazine, just to relax. Remember to keep an eye on the goal and don’t take too long rest, that will likely put you off and get you off-track.

With these simple, but straight foreward tips you should be able to convert work from home to productivity at home, mixed with fun and play. People will start to look at you and wonder where all this productivity came from and pat you on the back.

In fact, you do not have to believe daily affirmations will work at all for you. You only need to have a willingness to try. If you were to begin using daily affirmations, within a couple of short weeks you would have to notice more positive changes in you and the life around you taking place.

Implementing affirmations is a form of meditation. Sit down in a quiet place and focus your intention on your daily affirmations, let them become a part of you. Focus as much intent on the statement as you can, and repeat the statements several times. I can’t find Success anywhere

Are you incredibly frustrated? Do you have a library of self-help books and nothing to show for it? How many internet wealth making programs have you purchased, just to jump to the next greatest thing the next week.

Mlm, law of attraction and direct mail fill out the list. If I have described you read on, if none of this makes sense, you are probably in the wrong place.

I am guessing I have over $35,000 in self-help programs, seminars and get rich programs. I am not going to say schemes, because I truly thought each and every one of them were real opportunities at making me wealthy.

So with age 50 approaching rapidly and frustration about to overtake me, some thing had to happen. Fortunately I knew deep down I would have the wealth I desired so I kept looking. Looking for what I was not sure.

The answer came but not in the form of another book or self-help system. Nor was it a guaranteed money making program that would double my income in a week. It was a web site with a collection of speakers on improving your life in all areas.

The key was, many speakers. I was able to listen to over a dozen different people tell me how to become successful. The turning point for me was picking the points from each speaker that really made sense to me.

I then put all those points together and bam like a hammer the answer was as clear as day. It is funny I have known it all along. Para phrasing Jim Rohn, I was a person who built awesome foundations all over the country but never stayed look enough to see the building be built.

Once I realized consciously what the problem was, I was quickly able to fix it. Even though I had know about it for many years, if finally made became clear. Since that day I have stuck to the same program and have no intention of ever changing. What the program is does not matter, because you must find one that works for your desires.

So my point is. Listen to many people and pick what is common from all them about what you need to change. And find a program and stick with it. There is probably nothing wrong with the 20 last programs, it is you that has to be fixed.

There are many ways to get active. We have gyms, which you can find reasonable sales. Visit the gym start working out and intermingle with people. The idea of socializing is to meet new people and do things that you normally wouldn’t do normally.

Call someone and invite him or her to shop with you. Invite them to come have coffee with you. Better yet, invite them to walk in the park with you. It’s your call. You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it. Sitting down on life is the process of heading to the grave. Take action now and socialize today. Be sure to keep your social friends on a positive note. In short, only choose people who will build you up instead of tearing you down.

Relationships and improving personal life

Some of the things you might want to do are take time for you and your mate. Try taking a walk together and talk about the weather, or other topics that reduces stress. You want to avoid stressful subjects until you are ready to discuss your problems calmly. One of the biggest mistakes people make is calling shots while emotions are soaring. This leads to a yelling match and no one wins.

How can one person improve a relationship? It’s hard for one person to make changes by them self. It takes two to make a relationship grow and it has to take two to make it work. Nothing is easy. Still, it has been done and if you are strong enough you can make it though anything. You and your mate have been though some hard times. The deal is you have to improve your personal life. You cannot change anyone and for this reasons, the weight is on your shoulders to make your life better. Once you improve your life, your mate may take interest and start to improve his or her personal life. It is proven that good conduct speaks louder than any words.

Go out and visit someone once a week maybe. Get out of the house and be with a friend other than cleaning house when you’re at home. If you don’t have, many friends go make some new ones. Meeting friends is something you can do when you’re volunteering your time; when at the library talk to the librarian when you are checking out that book. New friends can be anywhere if you’re willing to talk. Don’t be afraid if you don’t make a new one every time you talk to someone; just is, yourself and someone else will be there to be the friend you need or want in your life.
