On The Law of Attraction Energy and Love, Peace, and Joy
I spent the past week of my life dealing with the necessities of my father’s funeral and burial. He died a week ago Monday, and I mention him because he was without a doubt the most positive manifesting person I knew. And he never saw The Secret or read philosophy. I was with him by his side the last day and a half of his life. I held his hand. He did not want me to let it go. And it was both the most heartbreaking and the most beautiful time of my life- as I have never felt so much love in a room as I felt that day.
My father spent most of his life singing, dancing, and telling jokes. He lived in what I will call the happy zone, and for the most part life was a gift he opened with zest. So when I speak of how to access the law of attraction energy, I am speaking in some ways about my father, a great role model for me.
So if we want to use the Law of Attraction, we have to determine what makes each of us happy. Perhaps it is communing with nature, lying in the tall grass. Perhaps it is taking a jog or swimming in the ocean. Perhaps it is simply watching the sun set.
For me I can access my peaceful self by reading a spiritual book such as “Conversations with God” or Alanon’s “Courage to Change.” I can get it through listening to beautiful music or looking at lovely artwork. I can read affirmation cards, or meditate on the musings of the famous spiritual teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh.
I get into the space of love by lying on the couch with my arms around one of my children. I also get there by cuddling and watching a movie, or conversing with someone I care for about what makes them happy.
As for joy, my dad and I were both fond of the singing at the top of your lungs in the car method of accessing it. We did many a fine concert for the steering wheel, and when we did all cares and worries went away. But the question for you is “What gives me joy?” And as soon as you answer it, you must go about the business of doing it, if you hope for any success at all in accessing the Law of Attraction Energy.
It is certain that we do not access the Law of Attraction Energy by doing things that drain or upset us, such as being with negative people, or watching sad movies. My dad had this tool down pat and when he watched a movie it was The Sound of Music or Oklahoma. He knew instinctively that negativity was best taken in small, limited doses.
So do what makes you feel good. Or do what makes others around you feel good- which will often alter how you feel. And don’t do what makes you feel bad very frequently if at all. Follow these simple rules and you will be sure to begin to manifest the good things in life, as well as follow in my dad’s footsteps, and thereby keep him alive and with us.
