Confidence Within

by Sara Mendez

Just about every American has something they wish they could improve. Some wish to be taller, shorter, funnier, or richer to name a few. However there is a fine line between wanting to change something and low self esteem. People who suffer from low self esteem have a negative view of themselves, others, lack self confidence and perform poorly. It is difficult to measure the amount of people suffering from low self esteem as it usually is related to other emotional difficulties.

Lacking self confidence or low self esteem is not something a person just learns from one random act, it is something that is learned through repetitive criticism. It can come from just about anyone, parents with unrealistic demands of their children, constant comparison to other siblings or children or simply from parents who do not understand he child’s needs can leave them feeling misunderstood and detached. Children can also learn poor self esteem from classmates or teachers through the same techniques. Others feel negatively about themselves because of societies demands. Many young girls have expressed pressure to be thin simply from a magazine article, they begin to self criticize every time they read an article or see a photograph.

We are losing an alarming, one third of our youth to drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, jail, teen pregnancy, crimes and violence, drop outs, and suicide according to Selfesteeminternational.org. All of these problems have one thing in common, low self esteem. Some people of society have a hard time accepting negative self image is the cause for all of these problems. Often, as stated before, low self esteem is just a cover up to other emotional issues. However Selfesteeminternational.org reported that 80-90% of pregnant teens do not give up their children because they feel a baby will give them the unconditional love they never had. High school seniors report using drugs and alcohol as a way to fill a personal void and improve self esteem at the rate of 66%.

There are a range of programs which offer help with low self esteem, Some suffers attend counseling sessions, take medication, or read self help books. There are also new techniques being used to help build confidence, one of those is hypnosis. Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind to uncover what memories are causing the low self esteem. Once the memory has been identified, the hypnotist and patient work though the memory and the patient’s reaction to it. Together they help rebuild self confidence and work through all feelings, good or bad until the patient is satisfied with their progress. Since it works with the subconscious mind, it is easier to open up and express feelings you might not know you were having.

Some still feel that medication or therapy is the best and only way to treat self esteem issues. However, the medications only work with the chemical reactions in the body, it will not create a positive image or with the memories which are causing the patient pain and agony. Therapy can go on for months before the real trigger and emotional reaction is uncovered and it also deals with the mind on a conscious level. When dealing with the mind on a conscious level, patients often become very censored for fear they are being judged by the counselor. It can take a long time before a patient begins to trust the counselor enough to open up. While under hypnosis they sub conscious mind takes over allowing for completely candid thoughts.

You have taken the first step in your treatment, whatever it may be. You have acknowledged that you have issues with low self esteem and want to do something about it. You no longer want to go on feeling the way you do. The choice is yours, will you choose a treatment that could take months and months, will you choose a short term chemical fix or will you choose to open you mind and discovery why you feel the way you do, the choice is simple.

Earn a Residual Income from Home, Leveraging the Internet

by Cathy Yeatts

If you are considering ways to supplement or replace your current job income, you are no doubt confused by the thousands of options available to you. Do you have a job in your company’s payroll department? You could start your own payroll service. Maybe you are a sales representative for your company. So you’re thinking about becoming a licensed real estate agent.

The one sticking point with these ideas is the fact that the income will rely completely on your ability to do the work. Need more money? You will have to do more work. Still need more money? You may find yourself working seven days a week. And if you need a vacation…get ready to do without any income for the time you take off.

In the bestselling book, The Cashflow Quadrant, by Robert Kiyosaki, we learn that both employees and self-employed people are in a similar predicament. That is, they both are limited by the amount of time that they can work. And nobody can work seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Business owners and investors, those residing on the right side of Kiyosaki’s cash quadrant, have moved beyond the exchange of personal time for money. These successful business people have created and implemented systems. These systems leverage the abilities, talents and time of others.

These systems create passive income for the business owner or investor, even if they are not physically at the business location. In fact, good systems can create income 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with little or no interaction from the owner.

Instead of having to work for money, wealthy individuals have learned that they must require money to work for them. Residential and commercial real etate investments are known to be a great way to leverage money, time and other people. However, most real estate investors will be faced with a need for large amounts of cash, as well as substantial credit lines.

What if you don’t have the cash and credit lines required for large scale real estate investing? You can create substantial passive income by building a network marketing home based business.

If you are already dreading the fact that you will have to sort through friends, family and hundreds of strangers, guess again. (I don’t care for that either!) My network marketing company is Success University. This is an Internet-based, global business opportunity. There are no products to buy or store and no hotel meetings to attend.

Success University is available to anyone, regardless of background or financial circumstance. For less than two dollars a day, you can begin building a lifetime of residual income, even if you have no previous Internet marketing experience.

We all want to have enough money to be happy from today until the day we leave this earth. Enough, is a carefully used word. For some people, enough is the amount of money it takes to just have what is needed, for others it means being wealthy and making a LOT of money.

In order to move from making money to wealthy, you will need to change your perception of life. These tips to a successful life of making money and becoming wealthy will surely help.

Thinking differently about money. Money is not something that should come and go in your life. When trying to become wealthy, it is important to save at least some of every dollar you earn. Saving this money will allow it to grow and thus increase your wealth.

The Smaller the Better. Aiming at the smallest of savings and adding up those amounts over time can be the best choice for a person wanting to be wealthy. Those smalls savings will add up over the years and as long as they are left untouched they will grow to be the wealth you desire.

Sacrifice here, freedom there. Many people do not think about the $20.00 they spend here or the $40.00 they drop there. But, these monies are the reason many people can not move into the wealthy status. People become wealthy because they earn and save and choosing to give up some expensive luxuries will end up buying your financial freedom.

You are responsible. Taking heed of the fact that no one is responsible for your financial placement in life aside from you will move you to that next level of wealth. Time spent blaming can be time spent saving.

Think stock. The next time you want to buy that new product on the market, stop and think stock. The product will, more than likely, be something you will not use in 10 years, but a stock in the mother company will still be growing.

Learn from the best. It is essential to look at real life models in order to save the most you can save in life. Saving can be followed step by step, but there are some insider tips that only the person who has actually worked to become wealthy will understand and be able to pass on.

Everyone has the ability to become wealthy with a few simple changes in how they perceive that little slice of life. When it comes to making money and becoming wealthy, all it takes if saving, saving, investing and saving.

Developing a Productivity Formula for YOU

by Elliott Roberts

Anytime you can customize something to meet your individual needs, the results are sure to be improved. Just about everybody would benefit from improved results in their lives and that is where the productivity formula comes in. The greater number of life’s little interruptions you can manage at the moment as they come along, while still progressively moving forward on your target project, will increase productivity and success. With that in mind, let’s look at these self help tips to put a productivity formula in place for you.

Have a definite plan. All your daily tasks are forms of short term goals. They should be the smaller pieces of the bigger project, or long term goal you are working toward. Take some time to review your daily routine. If it is not clearly affecting the big picture, start over. Make a new plan.

Prioritize. Once you have your short range and long range tasks lined up, prioritize what needs to be done during the day. We tend to think of everything as important, otherwise it wouldn’t be on the list, but some need to be done earlier and some can simply be deferred to the next day if necessary.

Schedule breaks to recharge. Walk around for a few minutes. Stretch. Play a quick game of spyder. Your body and your brain will feel better and work so much better that you will make up for the lost work time, even exceed it.

Don’t skip lunch. The body and the brain need nourishment to function properly. Your mind will be clearer and you will achieve better results when you take the time to eat.

Track progress and recognize your own achievements, no matter how small. You will be motivated to continue and achieve more success.

Deal with the little interruptions that come along before they turn into problems. The time invested is usually minimal and it saves stress and hours in the end.

Regardless of whom you are or what you are trying to accomplish, you have to do work to get there. That work is called productivity and with a positive attitude and your productivity formula, you will succeed.

Basic Yoga for beginners

by Lillian Suamibinith

Yoga is an experience related with the vast interrelatedness of all life and of all things. Yoga is about learning from direct experience. Yoga is intimately connected to the religious beliefs and practices of the Indian religions. It is control of mind and its modifications. The experience of Yoga is an interrelatedness of all life and of all things. It is a direct experience learning. It is about control of one’s mind and its modifications. Yoga is a discipline connected in an intimately way to the religious beliefs and practices of the Indian religions.

What Yoga is not.

Yoga does not mean to leave home and human society. It is a process of shaping one’s attitude to home and society with a new understanding. It is not ignoring your actual life; it is the spiritualization of it.

Yoga is not a religion, but an aid to the practice of the basic spiritual truths in all religions. It is not experienced like those obtained by taking lysergic acid or mescalin or peyote (of Mexican origin) or divine mushrooms. Yoga is not a medical practice, but it has been shown to be very helpful in many ways. Yoga is not just physical fitness training.

Meditation

In addition to practicing the poses, yoga classes may also include instruction on breathing, call and response chanting, meditation, or an inspirational reading by the teacher. Using the term power yoga differentiated the intense, flowing style of yoga they were teaching from the gentle stretching and meditation that many Americans associated with yoga. However, power yoga will most likely appeal to people who are already quite fit, enjoy exercising, and want a minimal amount of chanting and meditation with their yoga.

Yoga practice

The practice of Yoga may also include meditation, reflection, study and other classic elements. The emphasis of this practice is on coordinating breath and movement. What is commonly referred to as “yoga” can be more accurately described by the Sanskrit word “asana”, which is used to refer to the practice of physical postures or poses.

Practice asanas that draw your attention inward; forward bends and restorative poses. Outside India, Yoga is mostly associated with the practice of asanas (postures) of Hatha Yoga or as a form of exercise, although it has influenced the entire Indian religions family and other spiritual practices throughout the world.

It will not be out of place, therefore, for me to tell you frankly and clearly that not all that has been put across as Yoga is really Yoga. There are many signs that indicate that Yoga is being considered by many in the West to be the solution of the perplexing problems of their complex and speedy civilisation.

Eventually yoga is an all day long practice. While yoga is very effective in alleviating certain types of medical conditions, these are secondary benefits. The physical foundation of yoga is a series of structured poses (asanas) performed with breath awareness. Yoga is a complete practice that joins back mind, body and spirit. Decide if yoga is right for you.
